If it weren't for the CoronaVirus pandemic, Samantha "Sammi Sweetheart" Giancola and fiance Christian Biscardi would've been married right now. The wedding may be off, but their relationship is at its happiest right now. It's been just over three years that they started dating, and it was about time they made it official. Still, there's time to think about certain things about the wedding.
Everything began with Jersey Shore for Sammi Sweetheart in the late 2000s. That includes her first public relationships in her life. And when the sixth season of the show ended and so did her serious but tumultuous relationship completely a while later, she knew reality TV was not a way to take her dating forward. And look where her decision to not appear on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has taken her (although the relationship statuses of the cast have finally kind of settled down).
Regardless, when thinking of how many people Giancola's been involved with before finding "the one" for her, i.e., Biscardi, there doesn't seem to be too many people to discuss. Just the one "toxic" one with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. She was 22 when she started on Jersey Shore, and she's definitely made some fine choices when it comes to relationships.
Back in the summer of 2009, there were two potential suitors for the 33-year-old. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino had an immediate crush on Samantha. And if Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was to steal her heart, he had to go through 'The Situation'.
Who knows what could've been right?

Turns out, the situation just favored Ortiz-Magro. Sorrentino apparently hopped into a hot tub of girls the cast had met that supposedly made Sweetheart opt out for him. Who knows what would've been, right?
Regardless, his high school sweetheart Lauren Pesce (no corny play on words with their nicknames here) was still in his life, who he later went on to marry. Of course, Sweetheart was invited to the wedding in November 2018, and of course, she did not attend. But it wasn't because of what you think.
She'd decided not to bring cameras into her life, already denying to the Jersey Shore reboot, and sure, there were cameras at their wedding. But she did send gifts and love for the couple.
Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's last relationship Jen Harley wasn't all bright and shine either. But the one he had with Sammi Giancola wouldn't have played any other way. Maybe it's him. No pointing fingers here.

The relationship dominated the entirety of Jersey Shores' four years and six seasons from 2009 to 2012. And a part of it still did on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation when he confessed to Harley of still having feelings for Giancola.
Everyone saw how the relationship played out. It caused quite a stir on their own relationship, destroying their belongings and stuff while also creating a rift in the friendship Giancola had with Jenni 'JWoww' Farley and Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi when she chose Ortiz-Magro over friends.
The infamous relationship was on and off for the most part of the show, but they were a couple when the series ended in December 2012, even moving in together despite friends and family not too thrilled with their move. They considered the relationship should just end because of all the toxicity in it.

It was in August 2014 that they finally announced that they were splitting up. "At this time, Ronnie and I have gone our separate ways," Sammi told E! News at the time. "I wish him nothing but the best. Right now, I'm focused on myself."
It wasn't the fights or the off-times that they reasoned to have failed their relationship. Their different busy schedules were apparently to blame. "We were drifting apart and not really spending any time together," he told People. "I still care about her. She's a great girl, but we were growing distant. It was for the best."

Ortiz-Magro went on to date Kim Kardashian's bestie Malika Haqq in December 2016 despite the reports that the former couple was seeing each other again. That wouldn't last either as he went on to date Harley and were expecting their first child together in December 2017.
On Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Ortiz-Magro also revealed that he actually cheated on Sammi when she talked to him about taking things more seriously, like her goals of getting married in a while.
In June 2017, it was revealed that Giancola was dating now-fiance Christian Biscardi when she started posting photos of him on Instagram. The details of their relationship may be scarce, but sneak-peek into it was definitely not impossible.
Biscardi is apparently not of the business.

When the Jersey Shore cast members reunited on several occasions before Jersey Shore: Family Vacation was announced, Sammi did attend them all, while Ortiz-Magro decided not to. For example, the Reunion Road Trip: Return to the Jersey Shore in August 2017 and Deena Cortese's wedding in October 2017.
However, when the reboot was announced in November 2017, Sammi was not to come back. Before the reboot debuted, she reasoned her absence from the show in March 2018 on Instagram.
"I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship," she wrote on the photo. "I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially toxic situations."

Many ultimately deduced the relationship with Ortiz-Magro might've been the toxic situation she was talking about. But it may have just been about keeping her new-found love and relationship with Biscardi away from the camera.
"However, it was a difficult decision as I love my roomies," she continued. I've decided to focus on me, my future and what truly makes me happy. I will forever be grateful to Jersey Shore and everything it has brought me! I've just decided to live my life for me these days. Also I am forever grateful & thankful for all of you!!! Special shout out to my fans, but I'm not going anywhere! Follow me and stay tuned you never know what I could be up to next!"
If there were critics, Snooki did defend her decision as much as she could.
As for her situation now, canceling the wedding even after picking out the wedding dress was not going to be a problem. Here's a look into their relationship since February 2017.
