Halsey Can Really Fire Back at Her Plastic Surgery Accusations

It's so weird that with so many positive-message songs, people find a way to criticize a singer like Halsey, knowing she's gone through so much in her 25-year life. And some people try to get too masculine when her music is tear-jerking.

Everyone has a comment to make. But she too has guts to speak what she needs to. And when she was accused of plastic surgery, she didn't hold back. Of course, when one is arrogantly confident of her face being plastic, there's no reason she shouldn't speak out.

She's one of many, of course. And also one of those who don't think plastic surgery is something women should be afraid of being open about. "If that means getting plastic surgery, it means getting plastic surgery. The point is to let me make those decisions. Let me decide if I want to be one or the other."

Halsey's Body Rejects Plastic Surgery Injections

It was one of those moments in the comments sections of Halsey's Instagram post that triggered her response. Of course, there've been speculative discussions outside her social media pages for those of a boob job of some kind. Go figure.

In February 2020, the singer posted photos and videos of her totally makeup-free on Instagram, except with a few filter touch-ups. And one user had the audacity to call her face plastic and even feeling sorry for it. "All these young women getting plastic surgery. What a shame," the user wrote.

Halsey first responded calmly with, "I have never surgically altered my face!!!! just getting older and losing 'baby fat'. And wearing better lip balms." But there couldn't have been a better way to extend the response. Except hers.

"i can't get injectables cause I have an autoimmune disease and my body would reject 'em," she revealed. "I get my lip liner tattooed on!!!!!! Hurts like a B***H!!!!!"

Yeah, just straight-forward huh?

And further back in August 2018, she was even accused of wearing a wig in a post that the flaunted her curls in. "I can't believe I spent a whole damn year growing out my curls under those wigs for y'all to say my natural hair looks like a wig…some f**ked up s**t lmao," she tweeted in response to comments in the now-deleted Instagram post.

She's Had to Many Other Surgeries to Even Think about Cosmetic Enhancements

If you didn't get Black Mirror's 'Ashley O' episode was about Halsey, you have to. And casting Miley Cyrus as the character was a real smart choice.

Back in 2017, she was hospitalized and experienced multiple surgeries in a day (not the cosmetic kind), making her feel like she was living in "total agony". She shared on Instagram that she suffered from endometriosis, and the surgeries were terrifying.

Giving that thumbs up, as it is.

She's also revealed she's had miscarriages on three different occasions, and she was even prompted to perform just a few hours later during her July 2016 tour. And she's doing her part for those suffering similar fates.

"I have endometriosis," she wrote in a now-deleted tweet. "I've had three miscarriages, four surgeries, pretty much in pain every day of my life, and I've donated/raised upwards of 300,000$ in the name of research and support. I'm not quirky. Or different. I'm just trying to normalize and underdiscussed illness."

There've been many other instances she's suffered hate from the public, verbal or other. But she's spoken back about it almost every single time.
