Calvin Harris tweets about the biggest scare he had behind the arrhythmia that got him out for months in 2014.
Calvin Harris might have come off of a Grammy win in 2013, being the top artist in the UK in 2014, but it wasn't the best of a year for him, in terms of his health. Now, he's revealed that he actually went to the emergency room to have his heart restarted that sidelined him from for a while in 2014.
The 36-year-old retweet a reminder of his 2014 concert, writing, "Interesting year for me 2014, started with me knocking myself off number 1 in the UK and ended with my heart getting restarted in the ER...this sort of stuff happened in between."
Following the incident, he pulled out his performances at the 2014 MTV European Music Awards at The SSE Hydro, Glasgow, stating heart problems as the reason. He later told his fans that he was diagnosed with arrhythmia, an irregular heart rhythm problem.
That huge incident also caused him to stay sober (from cigarettes and alcohol) for a long time. He told a fan that it's been a lot less fun and that he would just like to get wasted for once.
He's won a Grammy, two AMAs, a Billboard Award and two Brit Awards.

"Aye things are a bit less fun but haven't had an arrhythmia since 2014," he replied back in December 2018 being as Scottish as he can be. "The last thing I want to do is down 2 bottles of jack daniels a night, live on greggs pasties and sleep on an absolutely stinking bus all year, scream down a mic for 55 minutes and pretend to play a keyboard 5x a week those days are behind me son."
Yeah, these kinds of stuff do happen.
