Korean Pop leading band BTS takes home 2020 UNICEF honorary!
BTS- Famous South Korean boy band has received the 2020 UNICEF Inspire Award in the Integrated Campaigns and Events class for its worldwide activity "Love Myself".
BTS has joined hands with UNICEF for the activity that intends to end violence against youngsters and teenagers around the world, since November 2017.

As per soompi.com, the award honors the most influential UNICEF campaigns internationally and the awardees were selected based on online voting by the organization’s staff worldwide and assessment by a panel of judges.
Lee Ki-cheol, UNICEF Korea secretary general said that the message passed on by the campaign had created a positive effect over the globe. Lee said that, "I believe this award is the result of BTS’ positive influence as they give children and youth across the earth both courage and comfort”.
Overseen under South Korea-based Big Hit Entertainment, the septet has engaged in various activities to help youngsters. BTS, well-known South Korean boyband encouraged the more youthful age to "listen to their inner voice and resist pressure to conform", in September 2018 at the United Nations headquarters in New York, the United States.
Kim Nam-jun, who also known as RM is the leader of BTS said that,“No matter who you are, where you’re from, your skin color, your gender identity, just speak yourself.”
