It's been a yo-yo relationship for Megan Fox and husband Brian Austin Green. You never knew when they were going to get back together. On-and-off dating for years, getting engaged and then breaking it, getting engaged after reconciling again, getting married, splitting again to only get together again even after filing for divorce and filing to dismiss the divorce case.
However, this thing seems to be over as not only going away for filming a movie became a huge distance, even after coming back home, she could not come back to feeling the same love again. Of course, that's why his Instagram photos look the way they do. They are not in quarantine together.
In his latest episode of his ... With Brian Austin Green podcast, he formally declared that the two are not together anymore. He revealed that when she left to shoot her movie Midnight in the Switchgrass with rapper MGK, he felt a certain distance in their relationship since late last year. And things didn't really change when she returned home.
They're just good friends.

So, he gave her a few weeks to "recoup a little bit and get back into life" before talking anything about their marriage. In a heart-to-heart conversation with him, he said, "She said, 'I realized when I was out of the country working alone that I feel more like myself and I liked myself better during that experience and I think that might be something worth trying for me'."
"I was shocked, and I was upset about it, but I can't be upset at her because she didn't ask to feel that way," the actor, who first met Fox in ABC's Hope and Faith when she was 18 and captured her heart, continued. "It wasn't a choice she made, that's the way she honestly felt. We talked about it a little more and said let's separate for a bit… and so we did."
Fox didn't mind the age gap when she first got close to Green.

Green assured that MGK or anyone "cheating" had nothing to do with the split and that they would still love each other. "I don't want people to think that her or he are villains, or I was a victim in any way with any of this, because I wasn't," he explained. "We've had an amazing relationship, and I will always love her, and I know she'll always love me."
Really, we're not revisiting the time Shia LaBeouf admitted of having a relationship with his Transformers co-star when she was engaged to Green.
However, their relationship had always been rocky since getting engaged in the first time, despite Megan feeling like she's in a fairytale for the time before. After dating for about two years in November 2006, the pair got engaged but announced their split in February 2009.

The two reconciled to get engaged again over a year later and married in 2010. They were parents to their first child together, a daughter Noah Shannon Green, 7, in 2012, and then to son Bodhi Ransom Green in 2014. But trouble was brewing in paradise.
Fox was first spotted without a wedding ring in December 2014, the following year of which she filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable difference", in August 2015. Eight months after filing for divorce in April 2016, it was confirmed that she was pregnant for the third time but became coy about who the father was.

Children do bring parents a little closer at times, as they rekindled their romance when they had their third child together (remember, Green is a father to son Kassius, 17, from a previous relationship with Vanessa Marcil). Son Journey River Green arrived in August 2016.
Fox was joking about Shia LaBeouf not being the father of her baby at the time.

In April 2016, it was confirmed that Fox had filed papers in Los Angeles in order to dismiss her divorce case against Green. They did announce in February 2020 that they were done having children, but no one knew what was coming.

Reports started surfacing that the two were living separately as they were even seen swapping their kids outdoors and Fox not wearing any ring. The breakup was to be officially confirmed as of May 2020.
They may have separated, but in the podcast, Green also mentioned he wouldn't rule out reconciliation like the last time he hoped she would think about the marriage.
"Who knows if this is the end of the journey. I mean, we have a lot of life left," he continued. "So the paths have started gone in separate ways for now. They could come back together. They may not. We don't know. I don't know. I don't want to make any predictions with that because I have no idea."
So yeah, anything's possible.
