Disney Plus Announced Their New Film Featuring Beyoncé

Disney Plus recently announced their new film from Beyoncé, which was influenced to some extent by her work on Disney's reboot of The Lion King.  

Black is king will be released in almost every streaming service this coming month and is charged as a video album written produced and directed by Beyoncé. Black is king is set to premiere internationally on 31st July. 

On, we can even find a one-minute teaser trailer featuring our queen Beyonce herself.

While announcing the movie, Disney and Beyonce's Parkwood entertainment shared “a celebratory memoir for the world on the Black experience. 

The film is a story for the ages that informs and rebuilds the present. A reunion of cultures and shared generational beliefs. A story of how the people left most broken have an extraordinary gift and a purposeful future.

If u guys didn't know, Beyoncé voiced Nala in the last year's movie 'The Lion King' and even released an album 'The gift' in conjunction with the film.

The record highlighted many of our beloved artists including Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Jessie Reyez, Pharrell, and her little girl Blue Ivy Carter. 

Beyoncé additionally worked with African artists such as Wizkid, Burna Boy. Yemi Alade, Shatta Wale, and Mr. Eazi. As indicated by the announcement Black is King reconsiders exercises from 'The Lion King'  “for today’s young kings and queens in search of their own crowns”. 

These timeless lessons are revealed and reflected through Black voices of today, now sitting in their own power,” the statement reads. “Black Is King is an affirmation of a grand purpose, with lush visuals that celebrate Black resilience and culture. The film highlights the beauty of tradition and Black excellence.

Beyonce also showed her support to the Black Lives Matter movement and Black empowerment by releasing a surprise song titled Black parade on June 10.
